The engineer in me is making me review 2015 metrics and goals I had made for the year. I figured I should share them. Be patient with the graphs and numbers; I am an engineer.
In 2015, I made 41 hikes for a total of 415.6 miles and ascended 86111 feet. This compares with 2014 where I made 57 hikes for a total of 414.7 miles and ascended 98900 feet. So, mileage is about the same, but the number of hikes and feet was down. I credit the lower number of hikes to injury and fifth-wheel travel that did not include 'official' hiking. Unfortunately I had set of goal of two hikes per week for 48 weeks; a total of 96 hikes. I was well short of that goal.
I had also set a goal of a 20 mile day. I made this one early in the year; 22.46 on February 13.
A final goal was a 100 miles over six days. I fell well short achieving only achieve 22 miles on February 13, 18.64 miles over the week of August 21-28, and 39.47 miles over three days while in Fruita February 12-16. For reference the best week in 2014 was 28.5 miles over six days; July 14-20
Below are a couple of graphs that show performance over the last two years.

It looks like over the last two years, the distance of my hikes has been getting longer and my speed has increased slightly.
Well, that's it. I know you all are anxious to see a new year journal entry where I set my goals for 2015. Stay tuned.
Now back to your regularly scheduled programming
